This sea- and farm-to-table fine dining restaurant at Cliff House Maine overlooks the Atlantic atop a 90-foot cliff. The location and the food are special and thoughtfully conceived, so the branding needed to reflect that. The name was chosen for its dual reference to the process of tilling the land and the mechanism that steers the sailboat, and the visual language features a hybrid of sea and vegetable illustrations. The logo illustrates a fish and a carrot as representative of the sea and the farm. For the dinner menu, we chose rich leather in the grey color of Maine’s sand, and for the menu board, we used a wood complimentary to the furniture.
